Johnny Podres won ten or more games 8 times in his career, but is best known for his heroics in the 1955 World Series when, as a 23 year old he pitched a shut out 2-0 in Game 7 against the Yankees to help the Brooklyn Dodgers capture their first ever World Series title.
Sandy Koufax was one of the most dominant pitcher of the 1960s, breaking a 58-year old strikeout record, becoming not only the first pitcher to throw four no-hitters, but also the first to win multiple Cy Young Awards.
